Anna Wilson started Tanglez Hair Studio 14 years ago from a small cottage at her home. After having children and moving to her partner’s dairy farm, Anna chose a location to start her salon in central Ashburton. She employs 12 staff and counts them as part of her family.
Anna loves living rurally and bringing her children up on a farm but she also loves to indulge in a bit of luxury, and thrives on bringing this experience to her clients. From making bespoke lipsticks, doing make up for brides and their friends, and offering a full service hair salon, Tanglez is a warm, inviting slice of luxury in downtown Ashburton.
“At Tanglez our team is like family and we like to give that feeling to our clients. They can come in and have some fun, get away from real life for a few hours. I wanted to provide a welcoming feeling of luxury, without feeling like you can’t be part of it,” Anna says.
Tanglez has been with Ruralco almost since opening up the salon and Anna loves being part of something local. Living on a farm she sees the benefit of holding a Ruralco card for her own personal needs, as well as accepting the cards in her business. She loves the idea behind it, supporting the farmers in Canterbury and New Zealand, and being part of something that makes life easier for both customer and merchant.
