Allen's Ashburton: Meet the Poo Crew
Darryl and Kylie Burrowes bought Allen’s Ashburton in 2004. Specialising in liquid waste disposal, they’ve developed a very strong relationship with the rural community around Ashburton, particularly in the dairy sector.
Darryl absolutely loves working with people and has built an amazing reputation for his business around the area. His relationship with his clients is very special to him and a huge part of his motivation and drive to run the business. The business has quickly grown from one truck to three trucks plus a digger, and they now employ two full time staff alongside themselves.
Allen’s has been with Ruralco since the start, and this is a relationship that has meant the world to them since they bought the business 20 years ago.
“Being with Ruralco has really helped us out. We were a young couple when we bought Allen’s and we had no idea how to run a business. They had that target market which was great as we didn’t know where to advertise!” says Kylie.
“Nothing is a problem when it comes to working with Ruralco. It’s straightforward and we know that they’ve got our back. It’s been a huge help with our marketing and running our business with the sales graphs helping us see where we are at. Ruralco customers are a large percentage of our clients. People trust Ruralco, and word of mouth is so important in Ashburton!”
