Ruralco in the Traffic Light System - Orange

Thank you for your support through COVID-19 to date, we appreciate the cooperation and kindness of every member towards each other and our staff.

Following the Government's announcement that we have transitioned to the new Traffic Light System in the Orange setting, we are able to continue to support your farming business.

We are not requiring vaccine passports to be shown, however we must remain vigilant to reduce the risk of transmission.

Thank you in advance for your support and patience as we get through these changes together.

We will remain operating as we are with our normal store hours until further notice. Please read our protocols on how to purchase and interact with our stores below.

Delivery

You will be sent a tracking number when the goods are distributed. We will do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible, however you may expect delivery times up to 7 days during this time, please be patient and bear with us as we do our best in these circumstances. All delivery will be contact-less.

You are required to wear a mask.
Scan the QR code provided or use the manual register to sign in.
Please follow the floor markings to keep to the 1m rule between yourself, our team, and other customers.

Farm Supplies, Fertiliser Or Seed

How do I order in advance?

You can call Ruralco on 0800 787 256, email us at ruralco@ruralco.co.nz or order online.

When will my order be ready?

Our team will let you know when your order will be ready for contact-less collection, we will do our best to make these available within 48hrs however please bear with us as we may experience delays during this period, thank you for your patience.

Where do I collect my purchased goods?

If you have ordered in advance & a staff member has advised you that your items are ready for collection, you can drive to the store to collect your order. For Ashburton, drive through Inwards Goods (entry from Burnett Street) to collect your order. A one vehicle at a time policy applies, so please be patient.

What if I haven't ordered in advance?

If you cannot order online or on the phone or by email you will still be able to come to the store. We do not require a vaccine passport to be displayed upon entry, however we are operating under strict protocols. To assist with contact tracing each of our stores has a dedicated QR code, we encourage all customers to use this when entering our premises. We are providing hand sanitiser for all customers and we have provided masks for our team to use. Please follow the signage and maintain physical distancing of 1 metre. Thank you for your cooperation as we do our best to assist you. If you are unwell DO NOT visit our stores, you can order online or by phone or email and we will deliver to you contact-less.

What are the store operating hours?

We are operating at our normal operating hours. Click here for more information.

Will I still be able to get my pallet orders delivered?

Farm deliveries are continuing as normal.

Fuel & Energy

How will this impact my bulk fuel deliveries?

Our fuel suppliers are confident of continuity of their supply, there is no shortage of supply in NZ. Our suppliers have assured us that they have the resources in place to meet all on-farm deliveries so these will operate as normal.

How do I order fuel supplies?

Our experts are here to help you through these difficult times and are available via phone or email to look after all your fuel, lubricant, fuel storage requirements and information.

Can I purchase fuel using my Ruralco Card at physical fuel stations?

You will still be able to fuel up at fuel stations throughout the country and pay via your Ruralco Card. Expect to see protocol changes, as implemented by the fuel company.

Will there be any changes to my power provider?

No, power is considered an essential service. Therefore your power will continue to be provided as normal.

Will I still receive my LPG delivery service as normal?

Yes, if you are a Genesis energy customer, your LPG delivery will continue as normal.

Other Services

Does COVID-19 impact Ag Recovery?

Ag Recovery at our Ruralco sites at Ashburton or Rakaia is operating as normal.

Can I still call the after-hours number?

Our after-hours number (03 307 5100) is available for urgent requirements, please respect this service.

Should I still expect to receive a statement at the beginning of the month?

Yes, our office based teams are working hard to ensure we can still deliver our usual services such as statements. But please be patient as there may be a slight delay.

How can I access my past statements?

If you have created a Ruralco login you can view all your statements online in “My Ruralco” the menu bar. If you do not have a Ruralco website login click here to create one.

Will my On-Farm Account Manager still visit me?

We are still allowing pre-arranged on-farm visits by our account managers and our wider sales team; however please help us maintain 1m distancing. We will not be able to offer a handshake, but a friendly wave is appropriate. Our team will record all contact to ensure we can quickly and easily track and trace in the case of an infection. If any family members or anyone on the farm is unwell, we will not be able to enter the property.
